Pete Vreeland

King of Prussia, PA

Pete Vreeland currently teaches physics at the Upper Merion Area High School in King of Prussia, PA, and serves as the science department chairperson. He is also the faculty sponsor for the high school science club, helping students prepare for the Science Olympiad and plan "Science Fun Night," where students from across the district come to the high school for a night of science demonstrations, activities, and experiments.

Mr. Vreeland works with the Pennsylvania Department of Education in the development of Pennsylvania's state-wide science assessment and serves on the executive board of the Montgomery County Science Teacher's Association. He is also an active member in the Pennsylvania Science Teacher's Association, National Science Teacher's Association, and the American Association of Physics Teachers.

Mr. Vreeland earned his B.A. in physics from the University of Delaware and is currently studying science education at Temple University.
