Brant Erwin Jungck teaches eighth-grade science at Frontier Middle School in Casper, WY. He has taught middle school for nineteen years, serving three years in his current position. Mr. Jungck was selected as one of five teacher leaders to open Frontier Middle School. He currently serves on the school's curriculum, instruction, and assessment steering committee.
Mr. Jungck is known for igniting a passion for science in students. Working with many at-risk students, he seeks a "hook" that will get them interested in science. Students readily list his class as their favorite. He has an ability to motivate students to make meaningful connections to science concepts. Mr. Jungck's students leave middle school well-prepared for high school science, and they bring an enthusiasm for science into their high school classes. His colleagues view him with utmost respect; he is known for collaborating with and assisting colleagues.
Mr. Jungck is State certified as Highly Qualified in math and science and is middle school endorsed. He has a B.A. in elementary education with a concentration in science and math from the University of Wyoming and an M.Ed. in technology in education from Lesley College. He is completing an M.S. in natural science from the University of Wyoming.
